Brussels by Car

Although you can find numerous other travel options for reaching and/or traveling around Brussels, but if you are one of those who enjoy driving and want to enjoy the views of the streets of this beautiful city, then travel to Brussels by car. Enjoy a Belgian beer and fries at a road side cafe.

You can also travel from London to Brussels by car. The driving distance between the two capitals is about 371 kilometers or 231 miles. It will take you around 4 to 4.5 hours to cover the distance by car. You need to cross English Channel for this which can be done by driving through the Eurotunnel from Folkstone to Calais or by taking ferry from Dover to Calais. From Calais, there are two major highways A18 and A10 that stretch from coast of the North Sea to Brussels.

While going from London to Brussels by car you need to keep certain points in mind. The minimum driving age is 18 and you need to have a national driving license. In the UK, cars are on the left-hand side of the road, but in continental Europe, cars are on the right-hand side. Do stay within the speed limit of the various highways.

There are two Rings that surround Brussels a smaller Ring or the inner Ring and the big outer Ring. The approximate distances in hours from few important centers to Brussels have been given.
