About London

London has a temperate marine climate, so the city rarely sees extremely high or low temperatures. The average temperature in summers is 21 °C (70 °F) - 24 °C (75 °F), winters are really chilly with daytime highs around 8 °C (46 °F) - 12 °C (54 °F). London is a relatively dry city with average precipitation of 583.6 millimeters every year.

Tourist Attractions

It is also an ideal city for vacation. London has got four of the World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London; the historic settlement of Greenwich; the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew; and the site comprising the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey and St. Margaret's Church. it also has a number of world class museums, galleries, and other institutions which are major tourist attractions. The Natural History Museum (biology and geology), Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum (fashion and design) are clustered in South Kensington's "museum quarter", while the British Museum houses historic artefacts from around the world. The British Library at St Pancras is the UK's national library.

People

A wide range of people live here, belonging to different cultures and religions and more than 300 languages are spoken in the city itself.

London has got an all-exclusive public transport system administered by Transport for London. The London Heathrow Airport is the world's busiest airport by number of international passengers and the airspace is the busiest of any city in the world. ITs bus network is one of the largest in the world, runs 24 hours a day with 8,000 buses and around 700 bus routes carries over 6 million passenger everyday.
